Allegations
Whilst registered as Social Worker, you:
1. Failed to maintain professional boundaries by:
a) Forming a friendship and/or relationship with Person A in/around July 2019, a relative of children A, B and C, for whom you were and/or had recently been the allocated social worker;
b) Not informing Nottingham County Council about your friendship and/or relationship with Person A until on/around 6 February 2020.
2. Your actions in respect of allegation 1(a) were sexually motivated.
3. In or around January 2020, you provided an employment reference for Colleague B which:
a. Contained inaccurate information; and/or
b. You were not authorised to provide; and/or
c. You told your employer that you had provided a character reference; and/or
d. You did not review Colleague B’s supervision file before providing;
4. Your actions in respect of paragraphs 3 (a) and/or 3 (b) and/or 3(c) were dishonest.
The matters outlined in 1-4, above, either singularly or collectively, amount to the statutory ground of misconduct.
