Hearings and decisions

While employed as an agency social worker with Liverpool City Council:

1. You made telephone calls to Person A after the closing of Person A’s referral:

a. On Friday 29 October 2021 —

i. At 08.39

ii. At 09.05

iii. At 21.14

b. On Sunday 31 October 2021 at 15.34

2. You were not on duty as a social worker and/or at work when you made the calls:

a. On Friday 29 October 2021 at 08.39; and/or,

b. On Friday 29 October 2021 at 21.14; and/or,

c. On Sunday 31 October 2021 at 15.34.

3. During the phone discussions on 29 October 2021 and/or 31, October 2021 you;

a. Discussed topics of limited or no professional relevance; and/or

b. Used your personal phone to contact Person A

4. In respect of Person A’s contact details:

a. you used them for a purpose outside of the reason that they were provided to you,

b. made a copy of them in breach of a confidentiality agreement 

5. Your actions at paragraphs 1-4 were a breach of professional boundaries

Your actions at paragraphs 1-5 amount to the statutory ground of misconduct. 

Your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct.
