Gareth has spent most of his life working in the third sector, mainly in charities with a focus on disability like Arthritis Care, Scope, NICOD, Disability Scotland, and the MND Association.
Gareth helped develop professional standards for osteoarthritis care based on his lived personal experience. He also worked on the professional basis standards around social care and motor neurone disease.
Gareth also works with a university, bringing an expert by experience perspective to their social work courses.
