Dr Denise Turner has extensive experience as a social worker, including within a hospice. She is particularly interested in how the experience of death and loss impacts on health and social care practitioners and users of services. Denise has designed and delivered teaching and consultancy on death, dying, change and loss in both academic and practice settings. Her research has focused on varying aspects of death, loss and bereavement.
Denise was chair of the national advisory group for the Digital Capabilities project led by the Social Care Institute for Excellence and the British Association of Social Workers.
