Continuing professional development (CPD) and social work practice: how does CPD lead to better social work?
Monday 14 March 2022, 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Anybody with an interest in social work is welcome to join this interactive session with Sheffield Children in Care Council about what they think makes a good social worker. Reflect on the impact of continuing professional development (CPD) on people with lived experience of social work and why the CPD requirements have changed.
Sheffield Children in Care Council will lead an interactive activity based on their award-winning film and training activity - ’Our messages to social workers‘.
The film tells the stories of people who have gone into care and what they would like from social workers. Attendees can then discuss and reflect on messages in the film and how your findings can be applied to and improve your practice.
