About this session
A co-delivered webinar from people with lived and learned perspectives. This will deliver an example of a good practice of co-production in teaching.
The session will share the teaching approach at Birmingham City University (BCU) and their social work programme in co-production.
This will be delivered by experts by experience and will outline where the module of equality diversity and anti-discriminatory practice sits. It will also explore the medical model and the social model followed by followed by a person with lived experience.
As part of this, there will be a showcase of the university’s simulated role play environment which has enabled students to be fully engaged in the role play bringing the theory alive.
The session the different phases of co-production and will highlight creative ways of engaging the learner.
