Registration fees for new applicants
If your application for registration is approved, you will need to pay a registration fee via your online account.
Registration fees must be paid within 10 working days of approval. If you do not pay your registration fees within 10 working days, we will close your application. This means that if you still want to practise as a social worker in England, you will need to make a new application to join the register.
Because you only pay the registration fee when your application has been approved, the fee is based on when we can process your application, rather than when you made the application.
Your first registration fee will be calculated based on the length of time remaining in the current registration period.
Full details of how much you will need to pay can be read in our fees guidance.
