Social Work England stands against racism and oppression in all its forms. We condemn the violence and racism that has taken place across England in recent days.

We are all concerned about what is happening. Everyone living, working and visiting this country has the right to feel safe and secure in their own communities.

During these difficult times, we continue to reflect on the role of social work and regulation in tackling inequality and on the values that we uphold at Social Work England. Social workers are pivotal to the action needed to address the prejudice we see in society. We remain committed to being part of the solution and equality, diversity and inclusion continues to be central to all of our work.
