Social Work England is recruiting for up to 30 education quality assurance (EQA) partner inspectors. They are looking for social workers (or professionals registered with another relevant professional body) who are AMHPs and/or BIAs.

This is a pivotal role. EQA inspectors will assess whether AMHP and BIA courses regulated by Social Work England meet the relevant education and training standards.

The regulator expects each successful candidate to commit to at least 10 days per year. Inspections are typically 3 to 4 days in length. When committing to this, you will also need to commit to pre and post-inspection activity. This usually equates to an additional 2 days.

Sarah Blackmore, executive director of professional practice and external engagement at Social Work England commented:

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with our education quality assurance team to provide impartial and independent advice.

“If you have never considered this type of work before, please don’t let that stop you from applying. If you have an interest to help shape effective social work, AMHP and BIA practice in England this could be the perfect opportunity for you.”

Applications are open until Wednesday 11 September 2024.
