Our media team is the first point of contact for the media and can provide expert spokespeople for interview, comment on news stories and offer information on different areas of our work.
To find out about social work, our role and some of the common myths about social work, please read our guide.
It includes practical suggestions for telling an accurate story of social work; one that recognises the positive impact social workers make in millions of people’s lives.
We produced the guide as part of our Change the Script campaign after research showed that the long-held negative public image of social work can have a damaging impact on social workers and the people they support. This image is often reinforced by how social work is portrayed in the media.
Please note that the media team only deal with enquiries from the media. For all other enquiries, please visit the contact us page.
